Schools 2010
Templeman Harrison have been invited to collaborate with pupils and staff from schools in Kent, Essex and London this year.
We're working with pupils and staff at St. Francis school in Stratford to completely redevelop their acres of concrete into a learning facility with wildlife, allotment, theatre and play opportunities, tied in with the theme of it's next door neighbour- the Olympics.
At St. Stephens in Welling we've been reaching out to the school's local community to come and help create a large wildlife and vegetable garden that the pupils have designed on the site of a neglected orchard. Parents, staff, the local Scout group, Brownies and church groups have all been giving up their weekends to create a legacy that everybody is already proud of.
Highland Primary in Redbridge's incredibly talented teachers have been leading the way in helping the pupils build their own sculpture, sensory and wildlife garden. It will continue to evolve over the years as different staff use it to work outside the curriculum and classroom to teach in more original and effective ways.
